Mission & Vision

Deputy General Secretary’s Office



The Deputy General Secretary is the principal assistant to the General Secretary. In addition, the DGS articulates the biblical and theological basis of the Council’s engagement in contemporary issues, in addition to facilitating holistic spiritual formation and growth.



The Objectives of the Office of the Deputy General Secretary, as stipulated in the 6th Corporate Plan, are:




To assist the General Secretary in provision of overall strategic leadership

  • Represent the Council in national and international forums
  • Support the General Secretary in the leadership of the Council
  • Accompany the membership in relational matters

To develop Biblical and Theological basis for Council’s engagement on contemporary issues

  • Provide theological basis for Council’s thematic areas
  • Carry out research and study on specific theological issues affecting spiritual welfare of Kenyans

To enhance effective, holistic spiritual formation and growth

  • Facilitate refresher courses for ministers
  • Strengthen Bible study programmes
