Remain Courageous, GS Tells Clergy

The GS preaches during the service |
While speaking during an ordination service at St James Cathedral, Bondo, in Nyanza on Sunday, Canon Karanja called on the clergy not to be discouraged by the rebellion of God's People.
"The success your ministry is not on the number of people who get saved when you preach, it is on the faithfulness to preach God's word," he sadid.
Drawing from the scriptures recorded in Ezekiel 2:1-8, the General Secretary reminded the clergy that the rebellion of people does not hinder God from accomplishing his purposes.
The GS reminded the clergy of the rebellion of Kenyans in defying the Church leadership to endorse the new constitution last year.
"Do what God has told you, he has a way of dealing with his people," he said.
He encouraged the ordained clergy to maintain a good example in the society in their morals and character and to remain models.
During the service 5 men and women were made deacons while 2 were ordained priests.
