| ICC Ruling: A Call for peace |
We the National Council Churches of Kenya send a message calling for peace to all Kenyans in light of the ruling delivered by the International Criminal Court this afternoon. We call for sobriety and restraint as Kenyans engage in discussions and interpretations of the decision and its ramifications. This ruling should not be seen in any way as an indictment on any community or individual but a process in search of justice for the victims and suspects of the post election violence. We ask all Kenyans to remain engaged in prayer for our Country for peace and reconciliation especially in view of the forthcoming elections. |

Drought
I wish to make a very passionate appeal for food donation to the Rwarera Circuit of the Methodist Church in Kenya (Meru County). The most affected area by drought is Kirimiri location in Kakuzi Division in Murang’a County. It borders Machakos District and has a population of 15,000 people, most of whom are squatters who survive by doing casual jobs in the neighboring Kakuzi plantations. As a nation we are in desperate times when close to a quarter of our countrymen wake up everyday without knowing where their next meal will come from.A Passionate Appeal for Food Aid
